167-13/14 Have Your Say
Mrs White said she had two points she wished to raise. The first was that she resented the segregation of Myland and the way the neighbourhoods had been divided up for the Neighbourhood Plan and that she would be raising this issue again at the MCC meeting on the 26th March 2014.
The second issue she wished to raise was in regards to the information she had previously requested, approximately a month ago, regarding the flooding on Mill Road and the action that had been taken. The Chairman said he had thought the Clerk had made her a copy of the report on the previous Monday, he said he would chase this matter.
Mrs White then asked if she could see the criteria that MCC had used to make the decision on how to divide Myland in to neighbourhoods. Cllr Dickinson explained that there had been no criteria. She explained that it had been divided by the roads and similar houses. She said there was nothing to object to as they had done it as a tool to break down the area so they could get a view on what the people in the community wanted in the different areas and that it had not been a decision making tool. Mrs White asked which Committee had made the decision on sub-neighbourhoods. Cllr Dickinson explained that it had been decided in 2008 by the Planning Committee as part of a report submitted to CBC.
168-13/14 Chairman’s Announcements and Correspondence
The Chairman read out a notice from ECC regarding the Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order for Defoe Crescent effective as of the 3rd March 2014. He added that there was a note explaining this order would be implemented within a 1 month period of this date.
He went on to read aloud another notice from ECC regarding the Temporary Prohibition of Use for Footpath 69 effective as of the 3rd March 2014 for 6 months.
Finally he read aloud a letter received from CBC regarding the planning application 121272 – Chesterwell to inform MCC that the report is going to Committee on the 20th March 2014. The Chairman raised his concerns regarding the document and some of the wording and said he welcome the opportunity to discuss it with colleagues after the meeting. He also said if necessary he would try and attend the CBC Planning Committee meeting. Cllr Dickinson said she would also try to attend the meeting.
