026-17/18    Declarations of Interest – Councillors to declare individually any interests they may have in the items on the agenda.  If a Councillor has a disclosable pecuniary interest in a matter being considered at a meeting, he/she must not participate in any discussion or vote on the matter at the meeting. The Councillor must withdraw from the room where the meeting is being held unless he/she has received a dispensation from the Clerk.

028-17/18     Chairman’s Announcements and Correspondence

The Chairman said he had been notified of additions to plans for the Northern Gateway site. He said the additional detail related to invertebrates, bats and reptiles and the link would be passed to Cllr Hewitt and Cllr Richard Beauchamp. He said he was happy with the detail.

Cllr Gray said she would like to mention a noticeable increased problem with rats which could be seen as a consequence of the extensive building work in the neighbourhood.

“MCC would strongly object to this application. We consider the travel plan poor and that it does not address the reality of the current traffic issues on Turner Rise Retail Park. We are concerned about the pollution that will be caused by the potential increase in stationary traffic and the contribution to the already congested area of Turner Rise and North Station. We are also concerned about the impact on local residents”
