Mr Kevin Hurley of 4 Fieldview Close expressed his objection of the planning application 144654 – 5 Fieldview Close, his neighbour, due to a number of concerns. He read aloud the comments made by his wife Mrs Jane Hurley. He said that there were a number of issues with the proposed extension such as the drawings showed no side elevations, measurements or dimensions making it very difficult to see how tall the extension was and how close it would be to their garage. He said there was potential for their conservatory to be overlooked. He raised concerns regarding drainage and sewage as well as the potential for the building dust to have an impact of his wives health as she was already unwell. This also raised another concern due to the fact that emergency vehicles often had to use their drive to assist Mrs Hurley and they were concern this would be affected by the building work.
Mrs White asked the Chairman to explain the role of the Monitor and their function. The Chairman explained that the monitors, which were herself and Cllr Sutcliffe, were purely there to review and monitor major developments, to ensure they were progressing as planned and to liaise with the builders, developers and the residents to ensure all was running smoothly throughout the time it takes to complete the development. Mrs White asked if there had been a report on Severalls Phase 1 and the road the names. The Chairman said there had not been a current one and they didn’t report on road names but any previous reports could be found in previous minutes and that if Mrs White should wish to see them they could be found for her.

The Chairman referred to a previous planning application from the Railway Station to use Three Crown Roads as access for works vehicles, she said she had read recently that Romford had spent a great deal of money to develop a place where they could get large works vehicles and railway tracks on to the trains to be transported to where they would be carrying out work.

MCC object to this application as the changes that have been made do not remedy the reasons given for the original objection from CBC. There is also still some concern regarding the loss of amenities to the property as it would take away a lot of their outside space.
