Trees for Years Day

Your Council working with you to improve your quality of life

Myland Council’s second ‘Trees for Years’ day on Saturday 9th March 2019 proved to be a great community event! Eight hundred free saplings and shrubs were available to residents on the day. The response was fantastic! Although the opening time was 9:30  queues were forming down the street before then and the doors were opened early. In an hour over 250 people had thronged the Council Office, leaving clutching pots of lavender and rosemary or a flowering tree or shrub, or more.

Special thanks to Cllr Marina de Smith and her helpers on the day, Cllrs David King and Alison Jay.

Further ‘Greening the Parish’ events will be arranged later this year.
